Hello! I am contemplating going back to school for surgical tech, and am wondering if anyone can share any thoughts about the field. I'm going to do a shadowing day eventually, but would like to hear from some of you! I'm also curious about what your hours tend to be, and what the pay is like.

Thanks!

I am new to the filed and hope to learn a thing or 2 from you guys. Hopefully you don't care that I joined this community. I start my clinicals in 5 days and I am kind of scared. It's a little overwhelming. I hope to work in a hospital when I graduate in February. I would eventually like to specialize in Cardiothoracic. Any words of wisdom for a newbie would be appreciated!
